Spoon Carving

Spoon carving is often seen as a mindful craft that offers many benefits. Aside from taking place in beautiful surroundings the activity requires concentration and focus which can often lead to a meditative flow and can help to calm a restless mind. Tom will guide you through a step by step process at a pace that suits you from Initial wood selection to establishing the basic shape with a hand axe. Then on to shaping and finishing using both straight and curved knives. It is also very satisfying to take home a useful object of your own creation.

Fireside Singing

Join us for a night of fire-side singing in our beautiful ancient woodland, where we’ll gather around the camp fire and sing folk songs together in a supportive, nurturing group. For millennia people have gathered in this way, and shared themselves and their lives through song. The act of singing has numerous benefits for wellbeing, like improving lung function, boosting the immune system and helping us to feel a wider sense of connection and unity with others, so our sessions are open to all. Regardless of ability or experience, we’d love to welcome you.

A 2 hour session.
